Rutilated Quartz
Rutilated Quartz is often used in jewelry making and is valued for its unique beauty…
Rutilated quartz, also known as rutilous or included rutile quartz, is a variety of quartz that has inclusions of rutile crystals within its structure. Rutile is a mineral composed of titanium dioxide (TiO2) which usually forms small needle-like or needle-like crystals.
When rutile becomes trapped inside quartz during its formation, it creates inclusions that appear as thin golden, reddish-brown or blackish needles. These rutile inclusions can take different orientations inside the quartz and create interesting patterns such as stars, rays or streaks.
Rutilated quartz is often used in jewelry making and is valued for its unique beauty. Rutile inclusions add an attractive visual dimension to quartz and can create shimmering luminous effects when exposed to light. Rutile inclusions can vary in size, density, and color, resulting in a wide variety of appearances for rutile quartz.
